No golden Fitbit retirement watch for any of us, hahaha.Īny two year warranty is a joke, because shortly after two years the device will need something to keep it going. The category leaders at Phillip Patek are banking big money on notions of generational quality, sustainability, long-term loyalty of customers, but Fitbit squanders their category positioning and brand by releasing to market flimsy products, giving into Google, but alas we live in a short-term, throw-away world. I really wish Fitbit made a device with better quality materials to last longer than two years. ![]() Recently to extend it's life, I've purchased replacement vinyl bands, the authentic Fitbit ones, not the cheapo knock-off ones you buy on Amazon, and silicon glue to hold the display to the bezel.
